Facebook introduces new crisis response centre
Social network Facebook has started a new centre for crisis response for people to find information about recent crises.
It can also help users check the company's crisis response tools like Safety Check, Community Help and Fundraisers, all in one place to support crisis recovery.
The company is also introducing links to articles, videos and photos posted publicly by the Facebook community to make people aware and informed about a crisis situation.
Facebook users can check the Crisis Response in the coming weeks from the homepage on desktop or from the menu button on their phone.
If there is a crisis, users on Facebook can inform their friends and family if they are safe or not with the 'Safety Check' feature.
With the 'Community Help' feature, users can ask for and give help to communities affected by the crisis.
The 'Fundraisers' allow users to create fundraisers and donate to support those affected by the crisis and nonprofit organisations helping with relief efforts.
