Today is World Rose Day
World Rose Day is celebrated to bring happiness in the lives of cancer patients and their caregivers.
September 22 is observed as Rose Day in memory of 12-year-old Melinda Rose from Canada who was diagnosed with Askin Tumour, a rare type of Blood Cancer.
Her doctors did not give her more than a few weeks to live, but she lived for six months and made her life meaningful.
Melinda gave hope to many other cancer patients and their caregivers with her letters, poems and emails.
Rose day is observed to make all cancer patients aware that they can face the disease with strong determination and spirit.
