85% of senior citizens in NCR lack digital literacy, says study
A recent survey says that 85.8% senior citizens living in NCR region are digitally illiterate.
The study by Agewell Foundation said that majority of the senior citizens do not know how to use digital technology or computers.
Of them, 74.9% expressed their worry over not knowing how to use technology in their old age.
Nearly 51% of the participants wanted to learn the latest technology but felt restricted due to the absence of any good training facility.
The research also found that many participants were upset that their younger family members avoid communicating with them due to their lack of understanding of digital language of communication.
