101-year-old Indian runner denied visa by China
Mann Kaur, the 101-year-old runner from India, has not been given a visa by China to participate in the Asian Masters Athletics Championships.
Mann Kaur had won the gold in the 100-metres race at the World Masters Games in Auckland in April.
She was training very hard since then to take part in the Asian Masters Athletics Championships. However, it seems that she will not be able to run after so much practice.
Mann Kaur expressed her disappointment over the visa denial as she was very confident of winning another medal for India.
The Chinese Embassy said that she doesn’t have a personal invite.
Mann Kaur had taken a letter from the Indian Masters Athletics Association with her when she applied for visa.
