Delhi Metro to raise fares by ₹10 again
As per reports, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation-DMRC is going to increase the price of tickets again.
This will be the second time this year that fares will be increased for traveling through Delhi metro. The ticket prices are expected to be increased by ₹10 from October.
The maximum fare may go up to ₹60 now. Passengers travelling less than 2 kilometers will see no difference in fares, as the minimum fare will remain Rs 10.
The earlier price increase in May 2017 had caused a massive drop in the number of travelers.
There was a fall of almost 1.5 lakh passengers per day in June compared to last year.
