'The Accidental Prime Minister' will be a balanced film, says director Hansal Mehta
Director Hansal Mehta, who is writing the story of an upcoming film based on the book ‘The Accidental Prime Minister’, says that the film will have a balanced approach of Dr Manmohan Singh’s period as the prime minister.
The book is written by Singh’s former media adviser Sanjaya Baru.
Actor Anupam Kher has been chosen to play the part of Manmohan Singh in the movie.
The film will give an insight of the Indian political situation during Singh's work period (2004-2014).
It will be directed by Vijay Ratnakar Gutte and is set to release in theatres next year.
Mehta is also working on his upcoming directorial film Omerta, which is the story of the British-born terrorist Ahmed Omar Saeed Sheikh, who kidnapped and murdered Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl in 2002.
