Blind cricketers are now the face of Lucknow Metro

Blind cricket players will now be seen as the face of Lucknow Metro.

The Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation (LMRC) has joined hands with The Cricket Association for the Blind in India - CABI.

Together they will host matches between the Indian Blind Cricket Team and others in Lucknow in the next few months.

The aim of the tie up is to create awareness among people about the challenges faced by disabled people.

The cricket matches will be held between students of blind schools in Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh and Delhi, in December.

Blind cricketers will also visit Metro stations to give morale boost to blind traveler and to sensitize others about them.

There are also plans to set up skill centres on Metro premises for training the disabled and helping them get employment.
