Goa government to come up with a law to protect senior citizens
The government of Goa plans to make a law to protect the rights of senior citizens in public places.
The idea is to make it compulsory for people to respect and follow the rules made for the benefit of the elderly. If the rules related to senior citizens are broken, people doing the offence will be booked or punished.
The state government also may provide financial help to the NGOs working for the betterment of senior citizens and make their lives easier.
The government officials have already released a notice to all the departments directing them to give importance to the work of senior citizens in the queues over others.
