A new study says that the use of drama, music and dance in care homes can help people living with dementia.
Dementia is a group of thinking and social symptoms that affects the daily life.
The study showed that creative activities can bring back memories from the past and help people with dementia to engage the active areas of the brain.
The research was done on 17 care homes, where the use of dance, music and drama were examined on more than 200 elderly residents.
It also found that such creative activities can have a positive influence on mental health among dementia patients as it also improves their self-confidence, memory and thinking abilities.
