India’s first mental health festival connects art and mind
The Mental Health Foundation, India is going to organise India’s First Mental Health Festival at AIIMS in New Delhi on 10 October.
The festival will give importance to the relation between art and mental health.
Many studies have shown that practising art can help a person manage their emotions and express themselves better.
So, following the same idea, the festival will include activities such as slam poetry, debates, painting, photography and symposium. It is open to all and has so far received over 300 entries.
The festival will also have a session on mental health at the workplace, which is this year’s theme announced by the World Federation of Mental Health.
