Deaf youth of Kerala honoured for solo bike rally

24 years old P S Shinan, a deaf youth from Thrissur in Kerala has been honoured at the district government office in Tamil Nadu by members of the Coimbatore chapter of the Hearing Impairment Social Welfare Organisation.

Shinan took out a solo bike rally from 30 July to 25 September, covering around 16,000 km in India, Nepal and Bhutan with a message that deaf can ride the bike and break every barrier to travel to far places.

Shinan who was able to finish his journey safely without any accident, wants to encourage the transport officials and government to pass a law to give driving license to the deaf.
