Delhi Public School students collect 25 lac for eye operations

2,500 cataract patients from rural areas in the country will be able to see, thanks to the efforts of 122 students of Delhi Public School, Bangalore.

The students have managed to raise an amount of Rs 25 lakh for the cataract operation of the 2,500 people.

The money was collected through crowdfunding in 45 days only.

The students had set a collection target of Rs 20,000 for each student however, the amount collected was much higher than their expectations.

The crowdfunding was done through the platform called fueladream.com.

The collected funds will be donated to Rotary Club Indiranagar, which will help cataract patients from villages in Hoskote, Kolar and Chintamani.
