Blind walk in Chandigarh on World Sight Day

On the occasion of the World Sight Day, Chandigarh based Dialogue Highway Trust and Project Vision, Bangalore will hold a blind walk in Chandigarh.

The one of its kind walk will be started off by Punjab's cabinet minister, Navjot Singh Sidhu.

Participants will walk with a blindfold across their eyes to show their support for the cause of people with visual impairments.

The walk is expected to be attended by 800 participants including volunteers, social activists, and doctors.

The walk will be led by 50 visually impaired students from school for Blind.

People will also be encouraged to donate their eyes and body organs.

Several such blind walks are scheduled to take place across other parts of the country as well.
