Maharashtra Congress leader commits suicide
A leader of Congress party in Maharashtra has committed suicide.
Maharashtra Congress Committee General Secretary and spokesperson Mahadev Shelar killed himself on Saturday.
64 year old Shelar hung himself from a ceiling fan at his home in Mumbai. He was rushed to the hospital and was declared dead on arrival.
The police have recovered a suicide note written by the Congress leader. The letter stated that he took the extreme step as he was depressed.
As per reports, Shelar had been suffering from diabetes and other health-related problems for a long time and that caused him to commit suicide.
