Sign language call centre for deaf people in Dubai soon

The Roads and Transport Authority – RTA of Dubai plans to introduce a new channel of communication at its call centre for the deaf people.

The new video call and chat system is being tested in Dubai and will be available in sign language for Arabic speakers in the initial stage.

A deaf caller can visit the RTA website and choose the option to video chat with a representative in sign language.

The website also has pre-recorded sign language videos to answer some of the most common questions.

The sign language call centre in Dubai is an attempt to empower and improve the lives of deaf visitors and residents.
