How a blind man fought and won a court case
Sanyas Kumar Behera is an inspiring example of a strong will that cannot be stopped due to disability.
Sanyas Kumar Behera is visually impaired and was forced to fight his own case in an Indian court as he had no money to pay for a lawyer.
In 2001, Behera was working with Disabled people grievance cell.
He came to know of a corrupt retired government official who was misusing the funds allotted for a school of disabled children in the area.
Due to lack of finances, Behera decided to fight the case himself in the court without a lawyer.
His wife helped him with the reading work and Behera finally won the case.
Till date, he has argued over 200 cases without a formal education in law.
