Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacts with disabled children in South Asia's first 'Ro-Ro' ferry service

Prime Minister Narendra Modi introduced the first phase of the Rs 615 crore 'roll-on-roll-off' (ro-ro) ferry service between Ghogha in Saurashtra and Dahej in south Gujarat recently.

Modi himself undertook the journey with some very special guests, disabled children.

The journey saw the disabled children freely interacting with PM Modi for around an hour.

South Asia's first, Ghogha-Dahej RoRo service is set to transform the distance between two locations.

The ferry service is expected to improve tourism in Saurashtra.

It will reduce the 360 kms distance between Ghogha in Bhavnagar district to Dahej in Bharuch district to just 32 kms by water.

Also, the travel time will come down from 7 to 8 hours to just 1 hour.
