Sensex closes 100 points up, Nifty settles above 10,300

The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty were trading up due to positive market conditions and Thursday being the last trading session of October series contracts in the derivatives segment.

The BSE Sensex closed 104.63 points up at 33,147.13 while the NSE Nifty closed 48.45 points up at 10,343.80.

The top three Sensex gainers were Cipla (+3.18%), Maruti (+2.60%) and Axis Bank (+2.48%).

The top three Sensex losers were ICICI Bank (-2.08%), Power Grid (-1.65%) and SBI India (-1.25%).

The top three Nifty gainers were BPCL (+5.15%), Hindustan Petroleum (+3.78%) and IOC (+3.77%).

The top three Nifty losers were HCL Tech (-4.64%), ICICI Bank (-2.81%) and Indiabulls Housing Finance (-2.25%).
