20 blind people cycled from New Delhi to Mumbai

Rajesh Dayal is part of the team of 20 people who are visually impaired and have completed a cycling expedition from New Delhi to Mumbai.

The blind people cycled in tandem and rode 1,700 km in two weeks to reach Mumbai on 28 October.

The team consisted of a total of 38 people, of which 20 are blind. Gyanam Ganga, a Mumbai-based NGO had organized the cycling trip.

The NGO uses cycling as a medium to create awareness about visual impairment.

The team had started from Delhi on World White Cane Day that is observed on 15 October.

The success of the trip has added to the confidence and self-esteem of people with vision challenges.
