Sensex closes 387 points up, Nifty settles above 10,400

The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty were trading up on Wednesday.

Investors reacted positively to the possible improvement in business activity as the country’s rank in the World Bank's list of ease of doing business increased up to 100.

The BSE Sensex closed 387.14 points up at 33,600.27 while the NSE Nifty closed 105.20 points up at 10,440.50.

The top three Sensex gainers were Bharti Airtel (+8.19%), SBI India (+4.58%) and ICICI Bank (+4.42%).

The top three Sensex losers were Dr Reddy (-2.90%), Power Grid (-1.06%) and Sun Pharma (-0.89%).

The top three Nifty gainers were Bharti Airtel (+9.21%), SBI India (+4.64%) and ICICI Bank (+4.42%).

The top three Nifty losers were Eichermot (-4.04%), Infratel (-3.81%) and Dr Reddy (-3.01%).
