New initiatives for the disabled in Himachal Pradesh elections
Himachal Pradesh's upcoming November 9 assembly elections will see many new initiatives for the disabled people.
The state will see disabled people and women taking responsibility of five and 136 booths respectively for the first time.
Also, there will be voter slips and some signs in Braille so that blind people can complete the voting process without any problems.
The officials have already recorded the details of all the booths where disabled and old people will vote to provide them with all the required facilities.
A ‘Booth Atlas’ has been prepared and made available for voters at the Election Commission of India's website.
