Activist says Aadhaar is not friendly for seniors, disabled

Well known activist Avdhash Kaushal has highlighted the issues faced by the elderly because Aadhaar cards have been made mandatory.

Kaushal has stated that while registering for the Aadhaar, old people face problems as their finger prints become blurred and unclear due to age.

The machine is not able to take the prints and they are not able to register for the biometrics identification process.

People with leprosy or limb amputation also face similar issues.

The proposed biometric entries at the airports is also not a friendly move for people of old age and may cause major inconvenience to seniors travelling by air.
