Sensex closes 360 points down, Nifty settles below 10,400

The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty were trading low on Tuesday due to negative domestic and global market conditions.

Profit-booking by funds and retail investors, increasing crude oil prices, heavy fall in pharma stocks led by Lupin, and DII selling were also the reasons for the negative trade.

The BSE Sensex closed 360.43 points down at 33,370.76 while the NSE Nifty closed 101.65 points down at 10,350.15.

The top three Sensex gainers were Infosys (+2.92%), TCS (+1.55%) and Wipro (+0.87%).

The top three Sensex losers were Lupin (-16.84%), Cipla (-7.18%) and SBI India (-3.57%).

The top three Nifty gainers were HCL Tech (+3.78%), Hindustan Petroleum (+2.98%) and Infosys (+2.87%).

The top three Nifty losers were Lupin (-16.86%), Cipla (-7.11%) and SBI India (-3.57%).
