IndiGo airline apologises after a passenger falls off wheelchair

Low-cost Indian airline IndiGo apologized to a passenger who fell off her wheelchair recently while being guided by the airline’s staff at Lucknow airport.

The move comes days after the airline apologized to a passenger who was pushed at Delhi airport in October.

The airline said sorry to Ms Urvashi Parikh Viren, a disabled passenger whose wheelchair got stuck in a deep crack while a IndiGo representative was assisting her.

Parikh got injured and was rushed to the doctor immediately. The representative made sure to provide first aid to her.

As per the airline, Parikh was kind enough to understand that it was not a human error and staff should be managed with empathy.
