Disabled winners of 'Accessible India Campaign' competition awarded

58 winners of a drawing and painting competition on 'Accessible India Campaign' were given out awards by Union minister Thaawarchand Gehlot on Tuesday.

The award ceremony was held in Delhi at the Pravasi Bhartiya Kendra, on the occasion of Children's Day.

The winners were awarded cash prizes and certificates.

The drawing and painting competition was held at the National Bal Bhawan for school children and students with disabilities recently.

Around 1,200 students had taken part in the competition.

Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities –DEPwD, had organised the competition.

The Accessible India Campaign was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in December 2015.
