Study links slow walking in old age with heart disease risk

A new study says that older adults having walking problems are more likely to develop heart diseases.

The research was published in the journal of the American Geriatrics Society.

It found that the relation between heart disease risk factors and walking problems was more in elderly people.

Aging increases the problems of balance, muscle power and flexibility. These problems can lead to many limitations and disabilities.

For the study, the team included participants who are 60 years and above.

The participants had no heart disease or walking or balance difficulties in the start of the study.
