Deaf run restaurants top in Zomato ratings for over two years

Mirchi and Mime, and Madeira and Mime restaurants from Powai in Mumbai employ people with disabilities as chefs, supervisors and servers.
Both the restaurants have continued to maintain its top rating on Zomato Mumbai for more than two years.
Both restaurants use sign language as a mode of communication
25 staffers each of both the restaurants are deaf. Both venues get around 8,000 customers each monthly.
In order to make the dining experience smooth, sign language is being used by the staff and the customers to communicate.
On a regular menu, there are illustrations of how to act out the name of every dish using sign language.
Also, the dishes served by deaf staff comes with a placard showing its name.
