Disabled man brutally assaulted by cops in UP

Lokendra Prajapati is a disabled man, who was beaten up brutally by two policemen on 22 November near Meerat in Uttar Pradesh.

He is now unable to move his body due to the excessive violence used by the two cops.

As per reports, the cops had come to resolve a feud between Lokendra and his elder brother Surendra Prajapati.

However, they later demanded a bribe of Rs 10,000 and started beating up Lokendra when he refused to pay them the money.

The incident was shared on the social media and became viral across the country.

The police department has started an enquiry into the incident.

The constables, Krishnapal Singh and Vikas Kumar, have been suspended.
