Sachin Tendulkar’s number 10 jersey to retire!

The Board of Control for Cricket in India has decided to unofficially retire the number 10 jersey from the Indian men's cricket team.

The 10 number jersey has always been worn by former cricket player Sachin Tendulkar throughout his career.

As per the BCCI, the decision has been taken to avoid any controversy. Sachin took retirement in November 2013 after a 24-year-long career in cricket.

The number 10 jersey was not used until Mumbai fast bowler Shardul Thakur decided to wear it after a gap of 5 years.

He was, however, criticized massively on the social media as Indian cricket fans associate the 10 number jersey with master blaster Tendulkar only.
