Disabled protesters want justice for rape victim

More than 50 members of the Tamil Nadu Association for the Rights of All Types of Differently Abled and Caregivers – TARATDAC, protested to get justice for a disabled rape victim.

All India Democratic Women’s Association – AIDWA also took part in the protest.

The disabled people burnt the copies of a CB-CID report which claimed, that the girl was not raped.

A 16 year old hearing and speech-impaired girl of Denkanikottai area had accused some men of gang rape in 2014.

She alleged that she was gang raped while coming home after giving food to her father.

However, later the doctors at a Hosur hospital said that there was no rape.

The rape survivor is still awaiting justice.
