South African girl walks first steps after treatment in India
Sherry M Gunga is a 7 year old girl from Malawi in South Africa who has been undergoing treatment for cerebral palsy in the Sangam city, Allahabad.
Sherry had come to India four months ago for the treatment and was not able to speak or walk a single step at the time.
The little girl was able to take her first steps yesterday and also called out her parents "mama and papa".
Her development and improvement surprised everyone around her and her parents are extremely happy.
Sherry is being treated by Dr J K Jain, who has put Sherry on various therapies for the improvement of her speech and physical movements.
