Senior Bollywood actor Shashi Kapoor passed away at 79 years

Senior Bollywood actor Shashi Kapoor passed away yesterday in Mumbai.

He was 79 years old and was being treated at the Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai.

Due to kidney problem, Shashi Kapoor was on dialysis for several years.

Shashi Kapoor started working in as a child actor with his father Prithviraj Kapoor.

Shashi Kapoor is remembered for his roles in movies like ‘Deewaar’, 'Satyam Shivam Sundaram' , 'Junoon', 'Shaan', and 'Namak Halaal'.

"Mere paas maa hai" is an all time famous dialogue of the actor.

He was awarded the Padma Bhushan by the Indian government. In 2015, he became the third member of the Kapoor family to receive the Dadasaheb Phalke Award.

Shashi Kapoor is survived by his daughter Sanjana, and sons Kunal and Karan.
