Indian disabled right activist gets prestigious award in the United States
Dr Satendra Singh, a Delhi-based doctor, has been honoured with the prestigious Henry Viscardi Achievement Award in America.
The award has been given to Dr Singh for his work in the field of creating awareness and improving the quality of life of people with disabilities.
Dr Singh is physically disabled himself. He was affected with polio in the legs.
He has been working as an activist for the rights of people with disabilities.
He has been raising his voice to demand for increase in job opportunity for disabled people and also for web accessibility.
