Remove education expense limit for soldiers' children, says Indian Navy Chief

The Chief of the Indian Navy, Admiral Sunil Lamba, has said that the limit put on the education expense of children of soldiers who are missing, disabled or were killed in action, should be removed.

As per the Admiral, there should be no limit on the education reimbursement of the children as their fathers have sacrificed their lives for the nation.

The education of these children is the least that the government can do in return for the life of the brave soldiers.

Earlier a full reimbursement of tuition fees, hostel charges, cost of books, cost of uniforms and clothing was done for the children of soldiers who are missing, disabled or killed in action.

However, the 7th Pay Commission has decided to put a limit of Rs 10,000 now.
