Nurture these qualities if you want to lead a long, healthy life
Being positive, stubborn and having a good work ethic can help you live a longer life, says a new study from Italy.
Researchers looked at the mental and physical health levels of a group of Italians between the ages of 90 and 101 years and found that there were many common psychological qualities.

For comparison purposes, they also conducted the same tests on the younger relatives of the participants. It found that a lot of the elderly participants shared stubborn personality traits. These are found to be psychologically beneficial because these people care less about what others think of them.
Mental & physical health assessed through a series of interviews
Another common quality between the elderly participants was a love for village life. So the overall qualities are positive attitude, work ethic, stubbornness and strong ties to the family, religion and land.
