Brain region linked to social behavior in Autism found, says research
Scientists have found a method to improve the social skills of children with autism.
The researchers did study on the various parts of brain and found that the region near the brain stem called cerebellum, is vital in autistic behaviors.
Till now it was believed that cerebellum is important for the coordination of bodily movements.
The researchers believe that further research in the relation between cerebellum and autism can help in improving the social skills and behavior of kids with autism.
Children with autism are not socially active and become uncomfortable among people, particularly strangers.
With proper and targeted therapy, autistic children can learn to be more calm and comfortable in a social set up and this will further help in their development.
