Babies born near industrial areas die young, says research
A recent study claims that babies born near industrial areas are at higher risk of developing asthma and dying at young age.
The study claims that babies that are born to pregnant women living within three kilometers of an industry rich area suffer early death.
These babies have also been found to have very less weight at the time of their births.
Environmental pollution causes damage to health of babies
The study claims that poor air quality and health conditions near industries can cause other problems in the babies such as ADHD, asthma, lower test scores, lower academic success and more.
Researchers studied the births of 1.1 million babies in the Pennsylvania region of USA from 2004 to 2013.
They found that the environment has a huge effect on the health and life quality of babies.
The study again highlights the harmful effects of pollution on humans and their future generations.
