Organization for deaf demands 10% jobs in Hyderabad

Development Society for the Deaf - DSD took out a rally and staged protest in Musheerabad, Hyderabad.

The protest took place in front of Bus Bhavan on Thursday.

The members of DSD were demanding a four per cent reservation in the RTC for the people with hearing impairments.

The protest was led by Mathineni Veeraiah, Chairman for Congress Specially Challenged wing. He demanded 10 per cent jobs for the hearing impaired at parking lots and commercial complexes in the RTC Bus Stations.

The demand is for better life and opportunities to the people with disabilities under the RPWD act 2016.

The protesters were upset that not enough is being done for the welfare and development of deaf people in the region.
