Disabled in Odisha district show their support for Swachch Bharat
In a wonderful New Year resolution, a team of 20 physically disabled people in Konabira from Odisha's Nuapada district undertook a cleanliness drive on New Year's day to create awareness about sanitation.
While some were on wheelchairs, others were blind and deaf. All of them united with the goal to make the village garbage-free.
They said that while they were laughed at many people for their disabilities, they wante dto show the world that they were as capable.
With placards in hands, they also took out a rally to make people aware about the advantages of using toilets.
They plan to reach out to people in other districts though their campaign. They plan to clean dirty roads, government institutions, schools and colleges, Anganwadis and drains.
