New H-1B visas rules may force lakhs of Indians to return from US

US administration is planning to implement a new set of rules regarding H-1B visas.

The H-1B visas allows U.S. employers and companies to employ foreign workers and is issued for three to six years to employers to hire a foreign worker.

Lakhs of Indian techies are currently working in the USA on the H-1B visas.

If the Trump administration decides to stop the extension of H-1B visas, it may affect the employment status of the Indians that are currently working in the USA.

As per reports, the new rule will force up to 7.5 lakh Indian H-1B visa holders to return from the US.

Data claims that 70% of H-1B workers in America are Indians.

The rule will ensure that foreigners working in the USA will lose their jobs and companies will be forced to hire Americans.

This is part of the "Buy American, Hire American" initiative of the Donald Trump government.
