Aqua Line trains going through trial tests in Delhi
The trial run of the first Aqua Line train was conducted on the Noida-Greater Noida corridor from Depot Metro station in Greater Noida.
Managing director of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation – DMRC flagged off the test run on Tuesday.
The Aqua line will cover the distance of 29.7 km between Noida and Greater Noida.
This will make the total Metro corridor in the twin cities run across a network of 47 km.
The Aqua Line train will have special seats in a dark Aqua colour for women, senior citizens and the disabled passengers.
For the convenience of blind passengers, digital voice announcements will be made in both Hindi and English to impart information about train and routes.
For passengers with hearing impairments, LCD displays called dynamic route maps will be installed inside the trains.
The route is expected to become operational in the next couple of months.
Electrical and mechanical work for the corridor is almost nearing completion.
