Clean the fruits and vegetables in hot water as cold water may not be as effective.
Soaking the fruits and vegetables in solution of water and vinegar can also remove the harmful chemicals and germs from them.
Use the veggies and fruits after removing the outer skin or peel.
A solution of 98% water and 2% salt can also clean the food. Dip the eatables in the solution for 15-20 minutes.
