Universal cards to be given out to disabled people soon said Union Minister

Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Kishan Pal Gurjar has said that universal cards would be issued to the people with disabilities in the country soon.

These cards will enable the disabled people to avail welfare benefits in any part of the country and not just in their respective states.

The Minister said this while inaugurating a camp at Thrikkakara in Kerala.

The camp will be used to distribute life supporting equipment to people with disabilities.

Gurjar also said that the Centre government is planning to launch various schemes under the Rashtriya Vayojanasree programme.

During the event spectacles, hearing aid, wheelchair and artificial teeth were given out to those in need.
