Chhattisgarh gets its first cricket team for people with disabilities

Chhattisgarh now has its first cricket team for people with disabilities.

The team was made after a selection cricket match took place in Raipur. 96 disabled cricket players participated in the selection match organised by the ‘Seva Niketan'.

Based on their performance, 18 players were then selected for the national tournament of disabled cricketers.

The state team with disabled players will now take part in the national championship of disabled.

The national championship is being organised by the Wheelchair Cricket India at Chandigarh and is to start on 18 January.

15 teams of disabled cricket players from across the country will take part in the championship.

The Team from Chhattisgarh will play its matches with team Gujarat and Punjab in group 'C'.
