Louis braille birthday celebration in Mysuru
On the occasion of the 209th Birthday of Louis braille, events and activities will be organized in Mysore.
The events will be organised by the Louis braille seva pratishthan in Mysuru that is working for the welfare of visually impaired people in the region.
As per reports, state level competitions and cultural events will be organized on 27 January and 28 January at the Nanjaraja Bahadur auditorium.
Louis Braille was a French educator and is the inventor of the braille system that allows the blind or visually impaired to read or write and is simply called braille.
The tactile system has been in use without much change ever since he developed it in the 1820s.
The braille has been empowering the people with visual impairments for decades.
