HC orders visually impaired students to move to DDA accommodations
The Delhi High Court today has ordered visually impaired students living in tents to shift to the alternate facilities provided to them by the DDA.
The students were living on the land where hostel was recently demolished and refusing to move to the accommodations provided by the Delhi Development Authority -DDA.
The court had heard about the situation of the blind students when they were rendered without a roof over their heads, and intervened.
The court advised the students to take the benefit of the help being offered to them by the DDA and vacate the land.
The hostel was demolished by the authorities as it was built in an illegal manner.
