Supreme Court issued stay on the ban on 'Padmaavat'

The Supreme Court has issued a stay on the ban on 'Padmaavat' by Rajasthan, Gujarat, Haryana and Madhya Pradesh.

He court has also cleared the film to get an all India release.

The Supreme Court has also ordered the other states in the country not to put a ban on the release of the film.

The top court gave the orders on the plea of the film producers. The producers challenged the 4 states in court for banning the movie from release despite a clearance from the Censor Board.

The name of the movie has already been changed from 'Padmaavati' to 'Padmaavat' by the makers.

Various clans and political figures have been raising their voice against the movie as they claim that the film presents incorrect version of the Rajput history.

The wide spread protests had led to the dealy in the release of the film from 1 December 2017 to 25 January 2018.
