Dance & Music Festival for artistes with disabilities in Delhi

'Flying Wings – An Integrated Dance & Music Festival’ was organised in New Delhi on Saturday.

The show was unique in every sense and saw the participation of several artistes with disabilities performing dances.

There were Kathak performances by artists with disabilities at the dance and music festival. Aamad Dance Centre, Delhi-based NGO had organised the event at the Kamani Auditorium.

The organisers wanted to promote the feeling of inclusion and also bringing hope, dignity and equality to the people with disabilities.

The first performance was by artistes on wheel chairs, who presented a dance performance on the melodious sufi song ‘Khwaja Mere Khwaja’.

This was followed by a Kathak performance, ‘Natak Sudha’, choreographed by Rani Khanam who is a famous Kathak artiste and founder of Aamad.
