Parkinson’s disease causes the nervous system to lose its functionality and that affects the brain.

It affects millions of people in old age and makes it difficult to carry out day to day activities.

67-year-old Karen Teubert has found a way to fight back and keep her brain healthy. She has taken up boxing and works out regularly in the gym.

The routine has helped her ward of the development of Parkinson’s. As per experts, boxing provides participants with exercise that releases dopamine to the brain.

Dopamine is a chemical that is not produced easily in people with Parkinson’s.

The exercise session has shown a lot of improvement in her physical health.

Teubert says that the signs of Parkinson’s, such as trembling and loss of balance, have reduced since she started the boxing sessions.
