Border Security Force's all-woman biker squad thrills at Republic Day parade
An all-woman contingent of the Border Security Force thrilled those who were watching their daring bike stunts during the 69th Republic Day celebrations at Rajpath.
In one of the most-awaited acts of the day, the women constables created stunning formations that drew cheers.
The BSF and the Army perform stunts on the bikes every year. This time 113 women from the BSF made a grand entry on 26 Royal Enfield motorcycles. The contingent, led by sub inspector Stanzin Noryang, was the first-of-its-kind to perform dangerous stunts while riding 350cc motorcycles.
Most of the women in the contingent could not ride a bike earlier. Now they say can perform any daredevil stunts.
The women were between the ages of 25 and 31 years.
